About Kimberlee
Kimberlee Gard is the award-winning author of several picture books including the Language is Fun Series and Snoozapalooza. Her books have made best-seller lists, and Vooks, a streaming app for kids, has transformed her titles into living story books that are now featured on Netflix. Yet, Kimberlee spent most of her childhood running from books instead of reading them. A learning disorder held her back until she was taught the tools to overcome her dyslexia. From this came Kimberlee’s aspiration to write books for children that would encourage and engage even the most struggling and reluctant reader. In addition to writing, Kimberlee speaks at conferences and schools where she shares her story and struggle with dyslexia, and encourages others to believe that with determination, dedication, and persistence, any dream can come true. She lives on a small farm in Colorado with her family and a gaggle of barnyard friends who offer constant inspiration for the stories she writes.
